The Moosmattentrail is part of the Valais Panorama Bikeroute, which starts on the Grimsel Pass and leads through the whole of Valais. The trail leads from Ulrichen railway station along good forest roads to Chäller (1879 metres above sea level), where the path leads into a newly created uphill single trail. From here, the bike has to be pushed in places up to the highest point at 2,068 metres above sea level. The subsequent traverse, against a breathtaking backdrop, makes every biker's heart beat faster and leads over flowing trails, hairpin bends and partly soft forest floor to Geschinen railway station. From Geschinen, you return to the starting point in Ulrichen via the official cycle path.

Use of the bike and cycle paths is at your own risk. Obergoms Tourismus AG declines all liability and accepts no responsibility for the accuracy and completeness of the information on this website.
Carry a bike map with you or download the complete description of the bike trail with a large-scale map. During your tour, it is recommended that you only use marked paths and roads. Respect the rules of Swiss road traffic and follow all signposts and instructions - for your own safety, to protect the landscape and to respect wildlife. Behave considerately towards other trail users. Take your rubbish and other people's rubbish with you.
Weather conditions in the mountains can change very quickly and without warning. Appropriate clothing and sufficient provisions (food and drink) are very important. If the weather is unstable, it is better to turn back early.
Carry additional sun protection. UV rays at high altitudes can be very strong, even when the sky is overcast.
Plan your tour carefully and in detail. Find out about the current conditions and weather beforehand. The summer report will provide you with valuable information from the region.
We recommend:
- Mountainbike
