From the Rothwald, Schutzhaus PostBus stop, the circular walk takes you past the Wasenalp mountain inn and on towards Wintrigmatta. Along the way, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. A short detour leads to the ‘Schweizer Familie’ campfire site on the Wasenalp – ideal for a leisurely break or a barbecue (please observe the applicable regulations).
The route then continues to the idyllic Wasmerseeli, which, nestled in the alpine landscape, is the perfect spot for another break.
Via Bärufalla, the footpath climbs below the Chastelegga ski lift to the Mäderlicka restaurant (open in winter only). From there, the route passes through the Jochtwald and the larch forests typical of the region, back to Rothwald and the starting point.
