A tour with panoramic views in secluded, scenic beauty and with steep descents that should only be attempted in safe conditions.

Ascent

 

Simplon Pass (2,000 m) – From the Simplon Pass, descend southwest to the Bielti alpine huts. Ascend northwest along the stream, cross under the Staffelgrat ridge, and continue to the pass.

 

Bielti (1,888 m) – From the Simplon Pass, descend southwest to the Bielti holiday cabins and climb southwest up the slope to the entrance to the Bistine Valley. When there is little to moderate snow, the trail of a mule track is visible. On the Bistine terrace, head northwest and climb the last steep slope to the summit. The lower part of the route leads through dangerous steep slopes; only attempt in safe conditions!

 

 

 

Descent

 

Simplon Pass (2000 m) - as for the ascent

 

Bielti (1888 m) - via Bistine and the sometimes dangerous steep slopes down to the Alten Spittel plain. A short 30-minute climb leads to the pass summit.
