The easy winter hike leads over the sunny slopes below the Sonnenplateau. You pass three beautifully located Valais villages and will be delighted with great views.

The starting point of the hike is Betten Dorf. It is located on the sunny slopes below the Sonnenplateau of the Aletsch Arena and is one of three idyllic Valais villages that you can explore on this easy winter hike. After walking around the village, follow the road west for a few hundred meters until a slightly ascending footpath branches off to the right. You will hike on this path to the idyllic Goppisberg, the second Valais village on this winter hike. From there, follow the new road to the mountain village Greich. A walk through this village is also worthwhile before you take the cable car up to Riederalp or alternatively down to Mörel. From Riederalp, you hike over the Aletsch Promenade to Bettmeralp.

Note: The cable car stop at Greich station is on request!
