Our hike begins at the Reckingen train station and leads to the picturesque wooden bridge over the Rotten. Here we follow the hiking signpost in the direction of Mannlibode. On a small road we reach the Blinne, which we cross and follow for a few hundred meters. In a clearing the path branches off to the right and dives with a pleasant ascent into a magnificent coniferous forest.

The Gommer Pass of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway entitles the holder to free travel during the validity period on the route between Oberwald and Fiesch Feriendorf in 2nd class.
From Brig follow cantonal road No 19 (Furkastrasse) for 30 km to Reckingen.
The Goms valley is also easily accessible from direction Zurich / Lucerne via Andermatt – car transport Furka www.matterhorngotthardbahn.ch.
Public parking spaces are available in the vicinity of the railway station or in the village of Oberwald. Follow the local parking guidance system.
The regional trains of the Matterhorn Gotthard Railway take you from Brig to Reckingen in 1h 03 min. The Goms valley is also easily accessible from the Zurich / Lucerne via Andermatt and the Furka base tunnel.
