It is a scenically very beautiful, but as far as the required fitness is concerned, not to be underestimated mountain hike. It leads through the largely untouched Nanztal, over old alpine landscapes and along water pipes (suonen). The landscape is very varied, the nature intact and the hike worthwhile.
Except for the Gebidempass, the hike leads along well maintained and signposted hiking trails. On the Gebidempass you take the path that leads under the TV station on the left. After this path runs almost flat for about 2.5 km, it drops quite steeply up to the Rohrberg. There you hike on the corridor road to Gamsen and on to your destination in Brig.
Hints:
The hike does not have an all-too-large gradient, but is relatively long and ends with a descent of 1800 metres. A good physical condition is therefore a prerequisite for enjoying this tour.
