On Rosswald three circular hiking trails for walkers and hikers were built. The routes are marked in three colours.
- Blue: Mountain Water Circular Path
- Red: Saflischwald circular trail
- Green: Rosswald circular trail
In this hike you follow the green signs. Walk down the path between the Rosswald mountain station and the chapel. After approx. 500 m you will come to a crossroads. From here you always follow the signs. The circular path is very well signposted. You walk approx. 100 m below the houses through the forest. It is a hike with a beautiful view. You can see the whole Simplon area and the gigantic Ganter bridge. At the Schmittmatte you come back to a wider forest path. After the ascent to Fleschboden you will be rewarded with a wonderful view over the whole Rhone valley. Then you hike effortlessly down the Saflischmatte, back to the Rosswald.
