Following the Stockalper route, hike from the Zwischberg valley towards Monscerapass and further into the Bognanco valley. The stage ends in San Bernardo.

Stage 6: Keeping the Trittico well in view.

From the Zwischbergen oratory, go down into the valley over the Great Water, then climb up the opposite slope between larch forests and grassy areas. This leads you to Monscerapass, the entrance to the Bognanco valley, from where you have a magnificent view of the faces of the three Simplon peaks (from right: Fletschhorn, Lagginhorn, Weissmies) and Pizzo d’Andolla. Also spectacular is the view of the mountains of the Bognanco valley. Later, when descending to Gattascosa and San Bernardo, peat bogs and smaller lakes also enrich the landscape.
