The route starts at the Simplon Pass and leads up to Üsseri Nanzlicka at 2,601 m above sea level. The descent into the Nanztal is demanding and continues until you arrive in Brig.

The start of this demanding and long route is at the Simplon Pass. The path passes Alpstafel Hopsche and slowly starts to ascend. On the plateau between Nanzlicka and Tochuhorn, you walk past the Undre Rossusee, a small mountain lake. This is followed by a short and steep climb to Üsseri Nanzlicka, the highest point of the entire route. Take a break here, as the path down into the Nanztal is exhausting. Once at the bottom of the Nanztal, you walk alongside the Gamsa stream downstream. The path runs along the right side of the valley above the water to Schratt, and from there on to Holzji.
