- Destination: Tossenhorn
The Tossenhorn is rarely visited and therefore a beautiful ski tour in the seclusion of the Laggin valley. Under very good conditions, the descent via the Laggin bivouac to Simplon village is possible.
Ascent
From the Laggin bivouac (2428 m) on route 604 to the foot of the right lateral moraine of the Weissmies Glacier. Cross this, traverse the flat area at the foot of the glacier towards southeast, cross the left lateral moraine as well, and reach the small Wysse Bode plateau (2504 m). Ascend southwards, above 2700 m via a ridge descending from the Tälihorn north ridge, and into a hollow that leads gently to this north ridge. Ascend in the hollow or on the ridge to the left and to the edge of the Täli Glacier. On this glacier, ascend in a curve to the left and to the Tälijoch (3178 m). From the broad firn ridge, easily reach the summit. Allow 6-7 hours from Gabi.
Descent
As ascent, then on route 144 to Simplon village (1472 m) or on route 143 to Gabi (1228 m), but only under very safe conditions.
