Valais Panorama Bike (VPB) - stage 4
The last day of the adventure starts at the stone arch bridge in the village of Binn. You ride gently uphill to Heiligkreuz, where the ascent of nearly 14 kilometers and 1100 meters of elevation gain begins: first on an alpine road to Brunegge, then on a singletrail to Tanzbede. The last section to the pass calls upon all reserves. The subalpine landscape is barren and the colors change from pastel green to ocher as you ascend. At the top, a magnificent view of the Simplon pass and the highest Valais peaks awaits you. After a well-deserved rest, start the descent of 12 kilometers and 1900 meters of elevation loss, much of it on singletrails. Via Rosswald, the descent into the Ganter valley proves exciting. Above Schallberg, cross a forest road and change at Riederwald to a bisse path. From the lower station of Ried-Brig, you ride towards your final destination, the town of Brig and its imposing Stockalper castle.

Directions
Starting from Binn, follow the main road towards the valley. At the dam lake, turn left and follow the Leng valley road up to Heiligkreuz. Below the cable car, turn right to start a climb of 14 kilometers and 1100 meters of elevation gain. Leave the alpine road at Brunegge and ascend the valley via a singletrail to Tanzbede, whose last section to the pass is a bit steeper. After the Saflisch pass, the path winds up to the height of the Fleschbode dam lake. A narrow road then leads you to Rosswald, where you turn onto a forest road towards Schmidmatte. A singletrail leads you to point 1483 near Undri Eisten, then you reach Schallberg via a forest road. A winding singletrail forks right, then a secondary road leads to the start of the last section of singletrail. At the entrance to Riederwald, take a bisse path to the lower station of Rosswald. Finally, at point 1067, take the secondary road via Bleike, Brei, and Lingwurm to the town of Brig.
