Nestled in rocky terrain and scree slopes lies Lake Sirwolto between Galehorn, Böshorn/Rauthorn and Wyssbodehorn. The lake is not visible from the pass road, you only see the beautiful waterfall that you pass on your hike to the lake. To discover the Sirwoltusee, we recommend hiking the signposted Wanderland Schweiz route number 194, the Simplon-Sirwoltusee-Weg. The tour starts in Engeloch and leads past the waterfall to Lake Sirwoltu. The climb is tough - but the crystal-clear lake makes up for it... After a short rest, during which you marvel at the view towards the Passe plain, you continue hiking up to the highest point of the tour - the Wyssbodehorn. Descend via Rossbodu in d'Egga and take the post bus back to the starting point or continue on foot to Simplon village.
