The parish church of Ried-Brig was built between 1895 and 1898. The consecration of the church followed shortly afterwards and was performed by Bishop Julius Mauritius Abbet. There are still four bells in the church tower today.

The church is easily accessible by post bus from Brig. The stops in the area are Ried-Brig, Chavez or Ried-Brig, Rufigraben.
The church can also be reached easily by private vehicle. However, there are only a few parking spaces available in front of the church. It is recommended to park your car at the primary school or the MZH.
